negoçiant house was founded in 1859, specialising in the vineyards of the Côte de Beaune even before then through their purchase of the 'Clos des Ursules' 1er Cru vineyard in 1826. Now Jadot have holdings in almost all of Burgundy's finest 1er and Grand Cru appellations, including a number of monopoles, whether part of the original Jadot domain or from the Gagey holdings (labelled as such). Through their strong relationships with partner growers, they also have access to some of the best fruit in the Côte-d'Or, then masterfully expressed by winemaker Frédéric Barnier.
